2007

McGuireWoods LLC opens its office in Romania, under the name of McGuireWoods Romania. McGuireWoods LLC is an American company founded in 1998 in the U.S. as a full-service public affairs firm ranked in the top 20 among the +100 government relations firms in Washington, D.C. and among “Influence 50” by The National Law Journal.

The company transitions into a wholly-owned Romanian company, now operating under the name of Public Affairs Solutions. With a team comprising 10 professionals in the field, Public Affairs Solutions carries on over a decade of excellence in delivering results. Our clients’ portfolio includes over 130 strategic investors from a broad array of industries such as agribusiness, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, financial services, energy, IT&C etc.

Ion Voicu Centenary

The performance, held on the stage of the prestigious Romanian Athenaeum on October 8, 2023, marked the 100th anniversary of Ion Voicu's birth, providing a unique opportunity to shed light on his impressive career and unparalleled contribution to classical music. Through our active involvement, we helped not only to organise the event, but also to raise vital funds and invite high ranking officials and key personalities from the musical and cultural world.
 
Our role included logistical coordination and promotion of the event, ensuring that it reflected the standard of excellence for which Public Affairs Solutions is known. We worked closely with the organisers to create an atmosphere that properly honoured the legacy of Ion Voicu, an artist who defined the violin scene globally and inspired generations of musicians.
 
Our work behind the scenes ensured that the Ion Voicu Centenary event was not only a celebration of music, but also a platform for strengthening the links between the artistic community and Romanian society. Through this pro-bono commitment, Public Affairs Solutions once again demonstrates its vision and commitment to corporate social responsibility, actively contributing to the promotion of culture and arts in Romania.

Worldwide Romanian Students Forum

Public Affairs Solutions, as a strategic partner, is proud to announce its involvement in the Forum of Romanian Students Abroad, 2022 edition. This forum is a significant initiative, aiming to bring together Romanian students from home and abroad to debate issues of social and educational importance, and to generate concrete projects that contribute to Romania's development.
 
During the forum, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă stressed the importance of young Romanians studying abroad returning home and called for action to develop Romania together. This call also included an initiative of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship which has opened a project platform for Romanians abroad, supporting them financially to open businesses in Romania.
 
Public Affairs Solutions, through its CEO Codrin Scutaru, offered a powerful and inspiring message at the opening of the forum. Mr Scutaru encouraged students to debate and generate ideas to be included in government programmes, emphasising that "students have always been the engine of change". This message reflects our deep belief in the potential of young Romanians and in the need to strengthen their voice and civic involvement to impact national decisions.

Ovidiu RO – Read me 100 stories

Public Affairs Solutions is  proud to take part at the program – Citește-mi 100 de poveși (Read me 100 stories). Read me 100 stories is a national program aimed at stimulating reading in kindergartens, schools and families, carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture. The program has reached half of the kindergartens in Romania. By 2025, all public kindergartens will be transformed into islands of reading and nature, where children can discover the mysteries of books toghether with grown-ups.
